CV MAXER ("we", "us") provides AI-assisted career tools. This notice explains what personal data we collect, why, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. By using the service you accept the practices described below.
1. Data we collect
- Account data — email, hashed password, name, profile preferences.
- Resume content — the CV text, parsed structure, embeddings, and any uploaded source files (PDF/DOCX).
- Usage signals — feature interactions, AI request counts, error reports (via Sentry), and load metrics.
- Payment metadata — only the subset returned by our payment processor (Stripe / SePay); we never store full card numbers.
2. How we use it
- Run the service: store, edit, score, and export your resumes.
- Call third-party AI providers (Qwen, OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini) to generate suggestions; provider lists are documented at /about.
- Detect abuse and enforce rate limits.
- Send transactional email (account verification, password reset, payment receipts). Marketing email only on opt-in.
3. Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share with sub-processors strictly to run the service: hosting (Render / Vercel), database (Neon), object storage (Cloudflare R2), email (Brevo / Resend), error monitoring (Sentry), and the AI providers listed above. Each sub-processor is bound by a written data-processing agreement.
4. Retention
- Active accounts: kept until you delete the account.
- Deleted accounts: scrubbed within 30 days; backups roll off within 90 days.
- Resume embeddings (vectors): deleted with the resume.
5. Your rights
You may export, correct, or delete your data at any time from the Settings page. Vietnamese users have rights under the PDPD; EU users under the GDPR. Email privacy@cvmaxer.com for any request we cannot fulfil through the product UI.
6. Security
Passwords hashed with Argon2id; data in transit over TLS 1.2+; data at rest encrypted by our hosting providers. We follow OWASP Top 10 guidance and run automated dependency audits on every release.
7. Changes
We update this notice when our practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be emailed to active accounts.
